THE THEORY TEST

The theory test Is made up of 2 parts          

Part 1

50 multiple choice questions and a minimum of 43 correct are required to pass.

You have 57 minutes to complete the test.

Part 2

14 one minute video clips showing developing hazards. There are 15 hazards to identify 1 clip has 2 hazards.Up to 5 points for each hazard depending on how quick you identify the hazard.

 

A minimum of 44 correct out of a possible 75 are required to pass

 

Both parts must be passed to pass your theory test if 1 part is failed the full test has to be rebooked and taken again

Fail to prepare is to prepare to fail.

THE COST

When you book your test on Directgov, you only pay the cost of your theory test - there's no extra booking fee

REBOOKING YOUR TEST

If you took your test today but didn't pass, you'll have to wait at least three clear working days before you can take it again.
